I was cleaning out the closet in the gun room and became reaquainted with a couple of rifle stocks I hadn't seen for a while. I bought the stock first because when I came across it I figured I better get it while I could and it's(as far as I see)the hardest part to find. It's not too bad, very few dings and dents and as far as I can tell nothing but honest wear. Another nice thing is that it came with the handguards and all hardware.
Original WW2 USGI M1 Garand Walnut Stock. The left side has a armoury cartouuche stampe, SA / GAW . (George A. Woody.) Next to that is a large crossed cannons acceptance stamp. You can see this in the photo. The butt stock heel had a small crossed cannon stamp as well as a circle 'P'. The entire stock was sanded at some time. Action fits snuggly, and t are no repairs, cracks or splits. Photos are not the greatest, but this is an original WW2 SA stock and the original armory stamps are still very visable.
